I found a terrific Fine Woodworking article that taught an efficient and accurate method of making these Sheridan tables.  The blond one was a practice piece; the legs were a different wood than the body. I had to dye the legs with a bit of green to make the two woods match. This was how I learned to make drawers.  All traditional joinery - mortise and tenons and hand-cut dovetails.
